Rumor on the street is that Jessica has gone vegan (or is dabbling, at least) thanks to her new boyfriend New Orleans Saints’ tight end Eric Johnson.

Times of the Internet is reporting that In Touch magazine broke the story — although we can’t find the original source. Apparently, Jessica’s gone so far as to even hire a chef to teach her how to cook vegan food.

“She barely knew where the kitchen was before. But she is motivated now, because she knows it makes Eric happy,” a source said.

I don’t know. This whole story sounds a bit far-fetched to us, but we’d love to believe it’s true. Do you think Jessica is getting down with the green? Chime in and share your thoughts.

A great number of set photos have surfaced in recent weeks for Captain America: The First Avenger, but we haven’t posted most of them. For the most part, we’ve avoided the pics because they’re dull, empty set shots with no context and, more important, no Captain America. These shots are different. They don’t show Chris Evans in costume as Cap, but they do have his stunt double in full gear, right down to the wings painted on his helmet. If you didn’t see the Comic Con costume test teaser and the concept art wasn’t enough to communicate how the costume would look, these photos should do the trick. A great number of set photos have surfaced in recent weeks for Captain America: The First Avenger, but we haven’t posted most of them. For the most part, we’ve avoided the pics because they’re dull, empty set shots with no context and, more important, no Captain America.

These shots are different. They don’t show Chris Evans in costume as Cap, but they do have his stunt double in full gear, right down to the wings painted on his helmet. If you didn’t see the Comic Con costume test teaser and the concept art wasn’t enough to communicate how the costume would look, these photos should do the trick.

The Superficial brings these to the world, so thank them. (And see a couple more pics there.) The stunt double is a little more doughy than Evans, so expect the hero shots to look a little more…heroic.  We can see, however, that this version of the character is well tricked out for war. Are those forward-mounted machine guns on the bike, along with a holstered rifle? Looks like it.

I like the look of the shield and the helmet. Some of the other details are less convincing, but what the hell — these appear to be raw set photos of a stuntman that we’re not meant to see in great detail as he whizzes past. I really liked the footage with Hugo Weaving that we saw at Comic Con, so I’m willing to wait for more footage of the real Captain America before reaching anything like a judgement. And we know the costume changes over the course of the film , so this might not be the endpoint of the character’s look. (Although it is probably pretty close.)

‘Singapore’s most erotic film’ director is keeping Hush

An intricate short film peppered with explicit sex scenes, emotional complexities and dark secrets, Hush, is a 20-minute local production which centers on themes such as kinship and sexuality. It tells the story in a day of the life of a typical Singaporean family made up of a widowed father (Vincent Tee), his three daughters (Evelyn Marie Ng, Janice Yeo, Cassevonrie Chia), and their personal struggles in life.

Director Jeremiah R. Oh decided to release Hush after a three years hiatus because of the personal attachment he felt for the project back in 2007. He also thought that Singapore “was not ready” for it yet.

Passed with a rating of Restricted 21 (R21) without a single cut, Jeremiah revealed that he was initially “all prepared for a ban” due to the Hush’s provocative sexual scenes that are “never-seen-before” in local films.

In his 30s, the director spent “quite a bit of time” convincing lead actress Evelyn Marie Ng to go nude for the scenes in Hush. The duo first got to know each other when he was still schooling and doing his first production, Eden, which also featured the actress.

IF YOU find actress Evelyn Maria Ng vaguely familiar , that’s because you would’ve seen her in two local English television dramas.

The freelance actress-model, who is of Irish-Chinese descent, played a spunky teenage schoolgirl in Moulmein High (2001) and poly student Light Years (2004).

Ng, who is in her mid-20s, has certainly moved on. For her lead role in Hush, she had to film several sex scenes and appear topless.

As per analysts, the world’s most cherished tablet device, iPad, will soar to a whopping 28 million units sales in the year 2011, that would in turn put a dent in the sales of low-end notebook PCs.

UBS Investment Research’s Maynard Um has reportedly issued a note to the investors, where in he has raised the target price for the stocks of Apple Inc. to $350 and has stated that, though the iPad isn’t affecting the sales of the Mac PCs, yet it is heavily impacting the sales of PCs from other manufacturers.  Even though the sales of the iPad so have far have been more than encouraging, yet Mr. Um feels that, the 28 million mark for the year 2011 could be a bit conservative and fluctuations can arise. Furthermore, it has been observed that, as the popularity and the sales of iPad soar, there is a reduction in the demand for digital random access memory in PCs, as the iPad doesn’t rely on DRAMs but the conventional PCs and notebooks do.

According to Maynard Um,

“Sales of traditional notebooks appear to be feeling pressure from the iPad, causing a scramble by vendors to launch iPad-like tablets. We believe that a majority of this impact is occurring on the lower end of PC sales as the iPad is priced close enough to this range that it becomes attractive to consumers looking to make purchases within this segment. We continue to favor product plays such as Apple as the company should have some of the most highly sought after products in the holiday quarter.”

Shaving is such a hassle. The hair on my face grows so fast that the one episode of the Simpsons where Homer shaves then his five o’clock shadow appears literally a second after he is done is an accurate depiction of myself. I use a Gillette fusion, the standard one because I am poor, and edge shaving cream. Yet even with a brand new blade and fresh shaving cream, shaving every day irritates my face so badly that I look like I smeared ketchup all over my face. I generally only shave every other day to hopefully prevent the strawberry effect my face takes when I finish up, but even so shaving hurts, a lot. More Here…

Whether it’s fake or not, it seems hilarious. That’s all the great people of this planet care about. I’m Still Here has gotten far more press than it would have gotten otherwise, but the possibly fake documentary about Joaquin Phoenix trading in his acting career for a life in the rap community continues to deliver on the insane behavior front. Take, for example, this new clip where Joaquin Phoenix tells P. Diddy that he has a garage set up with Pro Tools. Apparently, that’s not enough to make a hit record. Even though Diddy is posturing to protect a billion dollar industry that’s going down in flames to the people who successfully utilize their iMacs and a basement filled with old couches and a drum set, it’s still beautifully awkward. According to the FOX coverage:

“Brittni Vivion, a waitress at Crickets said Pattinson went unnoticed for almost four hours before the realization set in.

“He came in around 5 o’clock at our happy hour shift. Nobody really noticed that it was Robert Pattinson until about 9 o’clock and finally a couple of bartenders and waitstaff asked him and then he kind of denied it at first and then eventually he fessed up and said that it was him. And so the word got out and about 20 minutes later we had a rush of girls come in. They were just flaunting themselves over him. We finally had to shut the bar down and not let anybody else in cause it was just crazy, said Vivion.”

Pattinson left the bar at closing time through a back exit. Bystander Marissa Mason described the scence (sic)as a chaotic.”

The local newspaper the Daily Toreador has similar coverage , including how word got out after Rob had been there for nearly 4 hours unnoticed. This time it was Facebook that was the culprit, not Twitter.

What’s interesting in all of this is that Lubbock, Texas is one heck of a drive from Los Angles. It makes you wonder how many more places they stopped in between and went unnoticed. Looks like Rob still has a chance at being incognito, especially since he managed 4 hours in a bar without being recognized.
